Gold Maps Online™ has made every reasonable effort to ensure our customers and users enjoy the most accurate and affordable gold maps available to recreational and professional prospectors. Good intentions aside, by using this website our customers and users agree they are solely responsible for the use or misuse of our gold maps and for all actions and consequences of that use or misuse. By using our gold maps or website for any purpose our customers and users understand and agree to the following:
Gold Maps Online™ provides no warranty, expressed or implied, as to the accuracy, reliability or completeness of our gold maps. Customers and users understand and agree that mining claim data changes daily — meaning any mining claim map viewed is, technically, only accurate on the day it was compiled. Despite that, we believe we are still the best gold map option for today’s gold prospectors. Our maps are updated annually at the beginning of each year.
Our site and the maps available for download are intended for entertainment purposes only. You are solely responsible for damages, including personal injury, arising from your use of this information. To the full extent permissible by applicable law Gold Maps Online disclaims all warranties, expressed or implied, including without limitation, warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
We are not liable for any damages of any kind, including direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, and consequential, arising from use of our website or from use of the maps or other information you may download from us. Our site and the maps available are provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis.
Our customers and/or site users agree and understand our gold maps are not a substitute for official U.S. Bureau of Land Management records. Most of the Bureau of Land Management gold mining claims are provided by Gold Maps Online™, but not all. Please contact your local Bureau of Land Management office for a complete list of gold mining claims and the current status of those claims. Our gold maps also don’t show active or abandoned claims on state, county or privately held land. We only show claims on federal public lands.
Our gold maps include data from other organizations, including abandoned mines information, surface management agency boundaries, topographical maps, satellite imagery, lakes, rivers, streams and more. Gold Maps Online™ does not control the relevance, timeliness, or accuracy of information provided by other organizations, and therefore, provides no warranty, expressed or implied, as to the accuracy, reliability or completeness of furnished data.
Our customers and users agree to indemnify and hold harmless Gold Maps Online™, its officers, employees, agents, and suppliers from and against any and all claims, charges, demands, damages, liabilities, losses and expenses regardless of nature and howsoever arising, including but not limited to any legal or other professional fees and the costs of defending or prosecuting any claim and any other direct or consequential loss incurred or suffered directly or indirectly as a result of using any product listed on our website. Users agree any legal disputes shall be adjudicated in San Diego, California not withstanding conflict of other state laws or rules.
Claim jumping is illegal. Do Not use our gold maps to claim jump. We provide contact information for most all active gold mining claims displayed. This information is to serve as a starting point only for those people wanting to establish their own claims. Recreational gold panners should not try to contact claim holders and always stay away from claimed property. Use the claims to guide you but always respect the property rights of others.
Warning: Some claim holders still actually think it is okay to shoot claim jumpers. Don’t claim jump.
There is a small amount of overlap between our active gold maps and our abandoned gold maps. If you see this overlap, assume the property is claimed. There is a lot of unclaimed public property located around claimed public property. Always prospect on unclaimed public property and never trespass on private property, whether it has a claim or not.
We never sell, lease, rent, or give away any information you provide us. It is for our internal use only to better serve our existing and prospective customers. As with most websites, however, some third parties who provide services to us such as website hosting may have access to the information you share, but these vendors are restricted from using your information for any purpose other than delivering a service to us. Also, we may share information you provide us under limited circumstances related to legal process or investigation such as, without limitation, when required to respond to subpoenas, court orders, law enforcement investigation, or when necessary to investigate or take action regarding illegal activities or suspected fraud.
Important: Please do not purchase our gold maps unless you agree to the above Terms of Service.
